Mark E. Ricks Athletics Complex
Opened in September of 2009, the 120,000-square-foot Mark E. Ricks Athletics Complex located adjacent to Kidd Brewer Stadium serves as the hub for App State's 17 athletic programs.
On April 16, 2018, the building was named after Mark E. Ricks, in recognition of the 1989 alum’s $10 million commitment to the university’s A Mountaineer Impact initiative. The commitment, announced in November 2017, represents the university’s largest outright gift to date.
The building provides App student-athletes and coaches the tools and opportunity to excel on and off the field for decades to come while also serving as central offices for athletics staff members and the ability to host a wide variety of events.
The facility was the centerpiece of a $50 million athletics facilities enhancement that began in 2006.
