Appalachian State Athletics hired Sarah Holder as its Athletics Business Manager in April 2017, and she was promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Business in September 2019.

In her role, Holder has primary oversight of the athletics business office.

Before transitioning to athletics, Holder spent a year-and-a-half in the Controller's Office at Appalachian State University. For almost eight years prior to that, she worked as an accountant at Bryce Holder, CPA in Boone.

A 2006 graduate of Appalachian State, Sarah and her husband, Brad, have two children, Carmen and Maggie.
